Malaysians in Luzern

So on Friday 16 March, there was a birthday party held by one of the AFS oldies. He invited every AFSers, oldies and newbies. Everyone was to meet in Luzern Bahnhof at 9pm.

So after Deutschkurs, Pei San, Jun Khee and I went to Luzern and met up with KC and Shu Chien. We planned to walk around Luzern before going to the party, and maybe shop for a little while. So we took the 2.49pm train from Luzern with Maruly, and it was still early when we reached, so we went to the Swisscom shop for JK to buy his phone reload. Maruly wanted to buy her phone simcard, but then she didn't have her passport, so she couldn't. Went back to the bahnhof to meet up with the rest of the gang.

Luzern is really really beautiful. There's a bridge, and the river is very very clear. There are a lot of swans, and the swans are amazing. And when you look further down from the bridge, you can see the Alps. The weather was good that day, chilly and breezy, not freezing and not too hot. The sky was clear, too, and the view of the Alps was perfect.

We went to C&A, and then H&M, and then some high end shoe store, which we had no idea, and KC went inside and started talking very very loudly, and the salesperson were angrily staring at us. We went into Coop, and searched for the "birthday present" for the birthday guy. Then we bought balloons as birthday message. We had dinner in the Coop Restaurant, and there's where the funniest part begins.

We were all sharing stories of our host families. KC's family is seriously interesting. He changed families already because the first family he had was a welcome family for only 1 week. We were all talking about how different things are here in Switzerland and back in Malaysia. We sat in a room and it was empty, so we could talk and laugh as loud as we can. Dinner was quite expensive, and some of the food wasn't satisfying.

In restaurant Coop with camera timer.

After dinner we walked back to the Bahnhof with Shu Chien so she could take her train back to Zurich. We stopped at the bridge to take some photos again, sampat photos :D

We went down to the shops in the Bahnhof and found seats, and Peisan and I were wearing heels, so we were super relieved. Blew the balloons and wrote birthday messages on the balloon. Saw Gabriel who was going to the same high school with me, and he was going to the party, too. When it was time, we went up to the Kiosk and met up with the other AFSers. A guy from the military, that what he said, came up to us and asked for a photo, then talked to us. He was really, really, really weird. And we were terrified of him. He was saying that he's playing a prank on someone about them arresting a US guy and takes a gun out or something. We looked at each other with the expression O.O

The gang with the "military guy". I was the photographer.

For some reasons, I did not go to the party in the end. I ended up taking the next train home to Hasle.

And on the next day, I was alone at home in the morning and after lunch. I went out to the garden and took some pictures of the pets. Rabbits, guinea pigs (I didn't manage to snap photos of them), ducks, and Kim the dog. It was a beautiful day out, and Kim is absolutely lovely! And later in the evening I received letters from Ding and Suwei. :')
